If you have not registered to vote yet, there is still some time to do it. The voter registration deadline for the states of New Mexico and Texas is Oct. 11
According to the Doña Ana County website, applications submitted after the 28th day prior to an election will not be processed until the Monday following the election.
You will need your full social security number to register. In order to qualify you must be a citizen of the United States and must be 18 years of age at the time of the next election.
If you have ever been convicted of a felony, you must have completed all conditions of parole and supervised probation, served the entirety of your sentence or have been granted a pardon by the governor.
You also cannot register to vote if you have been denied the right to vote by a court of law due to reason of mental incapacity.
