New Mexico State University journalism student Andrea Vazquez was interning for ABC-7 in her native El Paso, Texas, the day tragedy struck her city.
Vazquez walks us through her experience, from her wild drive in a news van to get a critical live shot, to comforting grieving families and shaken reporters, to processing little-known details about the shooting, to eventually coming face-to-face with the killer in an El Paso courtroom.
Vazquez truly is the eyes and ears of this tragic story of hate, pain, love and hope in the “Sun City.”
