NMSU esports on the rise

According to the National Association of Collegiate Esports, more than 170 U.S. colleges and universities have varsity esports programs comprising more than 5,000 student athletes and offering $16 million per year in scholarships.

NMSU is now among those 170 colleges as the NM State Esports program continues to grow in popularity and competitiveness.

According to information published on the organization’s website, “NM State Esports is the hub for all gaming on campus. From the most hardcore competitors to those looking to have fun and meet new friends, our goal is to help all of our student members become the best possible version of themselves.”
