There was a lot of back-and-forth clawing action in this game as the Aggies and Kangaroos fought through four quarters and an overtime period. New Mexico State erupted in overtime and beat the ‘Roos 91-80. New Mexico State will play in the championship game on Saturday at 3 p.m. MST.
Game 6 – Semifinals (Women)
2 UT Rio Grande Valley 69
3 CSU Bakersfield 58
UT Rio Grande Valley is headed to the championship. The Vaqueros beat the Roadrunners 69-58 in the semifinal round of the 2019 WAC Basketball Tournament. It was a close game for the most part, but UTRGV broke loose in the fourth period to take home the win.

New Mexico State beat UT Rio Grande Valley in the WAC Tournament semifinals to advance to the championship game. UTRGV hung around, but the Aggies held the lead for most of the game and pushed through to seal the win. This is the Aggies’ eighth consecutive appearance in the WAC championship game.
Game 6 – Semifinals (Men)
2 Utah Valley 74
3 Grand Canyon 78
No. 3 Grand Canyon defeated No. 2 Utah Valley in the final game of the semifinal round. The ‘Lopes huge crowd was a key element to its win against the Wolverines. Grand Canyon will face off against the New Mexico State Aggies in the WAC championship game Saturday.
